2dramasports.com Match Notes & Concerns about the Ireland versus Nigeria encounter
- New team lineup- refreshing new faces
- Super Eagles missed key players Ike Uche, Obodo,Yobo,John Mikel Obi,Tawio,Odiah,Obasi,Shittu
- Still no Wilson Oruma invite to the Super Eagles, Nigeria Midfield needs his touch on attack
- Micheal Eneramo shows a preview of the Mike show
- Super Eagles still missing a play-maker in midfield , strikers were left without service
- Akpala needs to step-up , was not impressed with his performance
- No Victor Moses invite & Aluko for his first start was not SE material yet
- Sodje showed that he still has the goods, it being a while he featured for Nigeria
- Kalu Uche would be more pruductive playing behind the strikers
- Akpala or Eneramo not creative or running at the defense
- Super Eagles need a free-kick taker A.S.A.P
- Ejide looked shaky at times , the GK spot is still open with Dele & Enyeama around
Super Eagles Of Nigeria Player & Coach Rating
2dramasports.com
Coach Amodu : 6.5
Postive - New team lineup after back to back games with the same faces each time
Made 3 subs in a game , wow he has not done that in a while
Negative: Still needs to address the midfield crisis , inviting veteran like Wilson Oruma
Youngster like Henry Uche, Rabiu Ibrahim, Hurana Lukman and Rabiu Mohammed
could be options to the midfield issue
Ejide : 6
As i mentioned above, very suspect during the whole match
Akpala: 5.5
The high scoring form in the Belgium league has not translated to the Super Eagles
for Mr Akpala. I noticed all game long he was quick to pass the ball
when he had the ball instead of creating chances. Akpala needs to step up or
he will expire like spoiled milk
Sodje: 7
Bailed Ejide a couple of times during the match.
Adeleye:6.5
Not bad, but sorry TnT "Taye Tawio" has that spot on lock. In order to bench TnT
Adeleye needs to keep on improving -his future is bright
Y.Mohammad: 7
Good player ,has not lost a beat since his last Nigeria apperance vs South Africa
in the first leg of round 1 WCQ
Olofinjana: 5.5 Not impressed -Nigeria has more DM players that could bench him, if he not
careful
Kalu Uche : 7 Hustled and tried his best ,very impressive in the first half , faded in the
second half
Aluko : 4.5 As I mentioned above ,the young man is not Super Eagles material yet.
Its a pity he cannot be featured in the U20 selection for Nigeria
Aluko has played youth football for England
Utaka: 6 hustled made great passes , i would prefer Amodu play him in attack rather than on
the flanks
Eneramo (7) - somewhat of a revelation. Worked hard and got involved in play in all areas
of the pitch, I like his hustle, nice finish for the goal.
He may have to start v France. For a second look by Amodu
He is definately in the mix now.
Subs
Obinna Nwaneri: Not enough time to rate Obi
Osaze: 6 came on pitch give his all with passes and hustle , Osaze will most likely start versus
France
Nsofor: 5 Whats going on,it seem like that move to Inter has derailed his game. This makes
two games in a row with poor form. I have seen better from Obinna Nsofor
