Nigerian  President Goodluck Jonathan has suspended the national football team, the Super Eagles, from international competition for two years after a poor showing at the World Cup.

The Super Eagles have been banned from playing for two years by President Goodluck Jonathan after failing to make it out of the group stages at SA2010.

But Fifa do not allow political interference from governments.

Nigerian Football Federation technical committee chairman, Dominic Iorfa, announced a 26-man squad for the September 4  qualifier match against Madagascar on Friday without Taye Taiwo, Elderson Echiejile, Sani Kaita, Dele Adeleye, Rabiu Afolabi and Yakubu Aiyegbeni make up players from the 2010 World Cup not listed on the 26 man squad.

Warri Wolves forward Fengor Ogude will not be playing due to contract negotiating with Norwegian club Valerenga and is expected to join them before the close of the transfer window later on Tuesday.

Stanley Okoro, was called up in place of the injured Joseph Akpala
